王偉權，1958年出生於台灣台中，自幼成長在大自然的鄉野環境，2003年與一顆松果偶然奇遇...開啟了多媒材與漂流木的對話，2019年以銅雕呈現，傳承更豐富的藝術饗宴。

Born in Taichung, Taiwan in 1958, Wei-Chiuan Wang grew up surrounded by nature. An occasional encounter with a pine nut in 2003 has granted him the idea of creating artwork using driftwoods and mixed media. In 2019, Wang also applied copper carving, which further enriches his lasting feast of art.

Wang transforms his respect to the nature, his passion, and hope into the sparkles of life. Through his works, Wang explores, communicates, and interacts with diverse cultures, hoping to convey the wish of the driftwoods, which are just like his children: to love the nature, and see the beauty of it.

   漂流木，原始、自然呈現人生的自我價值，找尋我們最原有的初心；昔日總總我們無法改變，把握當下要好好珍惜，未來的更要努力，一枝草一點露，將相本無種，天生我材必有用，生活藝術，藝術生活！如如漂流的心聲。

Driftwoods reflect our self-value in a natural and plain way, helping us to recall our true self. We cannot change the past, yet we can seize the moment and strive for a better future. By conveying these messages: “There is always light at the end of the tunnel,” “All things in their being are good for something,” and “Birth is much, yet breed is more,” Wang’s driftwoods arts also remind us that Life is Art, and Art is Life.
